Encoding Content Before Uploading.
In order for the CDS to operate as expected all the content MUST be encoded to the correct content type -bitrate - frequency & channel by you before being uploaded so that it plays at the settings you have chosen in the stream panel under configuration controls > CDS Systems.
If the content does not match the settings in the stream panel then the Cds will fail to play.
Some recommended encoders are:
For Mp3 Encoding
- Audacity (free)
- WinLama (free)
- Dbpoweramp
For AAC+ Encoding
- MediaCoder (free)
For AAC+ files they must be suffixed with .aac and must be produced as CTAAC files from MediaCoder.
The following parameters should be used with MediaCoder to make sure the resulting AAC files work as expected
- Format: AAC
- MPEG-2 HE-AAC (Implicitly Signalled)
- Sample Rate: 22050 (Output: 44100)
- SBR: Present
- Channels: 2 Mode: Stereo
